Louisiana Locavores! The best way to get to know your local farmer is to venture into the countryside for a tour. In Louisiana, we have a growing number of agritourism opportunities including U-Pick farms, Bed & Breakfasts, and farm tours. Some have horseback riding, and they’re all family friendly. 5. Splendor Farms

6. Liuzza Produce Farm, Inc.
$7 per person for petting zoo which includes baby goats, sheep, cows, miniature ponies, pigs, ducks, chickens and rabbits. Also have a pony and buggy ride, tractor swings, hay bale pyramid, face painting, and seed planting. $20 per family for U-pick. U-pickers are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or snacks to enjoy under our pavillion before or after the tours. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. Covered picnic area available.

16. Frogmore Plantation & Gins
This operation can be described as a Louisiana cotton plantation that has both historical and modern tours of cotton production and processing from the cotton field through the ginning process.
